William Wythers’ Overhauled Overworld Mod is about providing a more realistic, atmospheric, and detailed overhaul of the familiar Minecraft biomes. This mod aims to recreate the landscapes players know and love in a way that improves their exploration and survival experience.

Overhauled Biomes:
With this mod, every existing Minecraft biome has been reworked to feel more natural and lived in. Gone are the standard, samey biomes – welcome to a better overworld filled with diverse landscapes and exciting adventures around every corner. Biomes like forests, plains, and beaches have been given realistic variety through careful terrain sculpting and vegetation placement.

Biomes Transitions:
No longer will players experience jarring shifts between biomes. This mod introduces smooth, natural transitions between environments like forest clearing into fields or desert meeting mountainside.

Why are there now 2 WWOO versions?
To provide options, the creators decided to split the mod into two separate yet compatible options – one adding several new biomes called William Wythers’ Expanded Ecosphere, and this one solely focusing on overhauling existing biomes. This allows players and servers more freedom of choice over the world changes.
Compatibility with Vanilla Clients
A key focus was ensuring this mod works well for both single-player and multiplayer. By using exclusively vanilla blocks, players with vanilla Minecraft can join servers running this mod. This makes the experience accessible to all while avoiding common compatibility issues.
